Acharya Habba : ウィキペディア英語版 | Acharya Habba
Acharya Habba is the annual culfest (cultural festival) of the Acharya Institute of Technology in Bangalore. It is a three-day event held in the month of March or April each year. It draws about 30,000 students from more than 300 colleges from across Bangalore and Karnataka. The festival also includes the ''Acharya International Habba'', usually on the first or the second day, that has performances by the international students studying in the campus. ==Etymology==
The word "Acharya Habba" derives from the Kannada word "ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಹಬ್ಬ" — from ''ಆಚಾರ್ಯ (Acharya)'', meaning "Acharya Institutes", and ಹಬ್ಬ'' (Habba)'', meaning "festival". So, collectively the word "Acharya Habba" means the ''festival of Acharya Institutes''.
